    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician/Analyst in our hydrometallurgical research laboratory.

    This dynamic role combines expertise in chemical analysis with hands-on laboratory techniques, focusing on the utilization of Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) methodologies.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting research and development activities, ensuring accurate and reliable analytical results, supporting the development in a brand new industry, recovering critical metals from waste streams.


    Chemical Analysis:
    Conduct chemical analysis using ICP-OES to determine elemental composition in various samples.
    Interpret and analyze data, troubleshooting any discrepancies in results.
    Perform XRD analyses to identify and characterize crystalline structures in materials.
    Maintain and troubleshoot XRD equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    Collaborate with research teams to provide valuable insights into material properties.
    Prepare and handle samples for analysis according to established protocols.
    Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
    Execute various laboratory techniques with precision and attention to detail.


    Quality Control:
    Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any quality issues.
    Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
    Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
    Previous experience in a research or industrial laboratory setting.
