    We are thrilled to partner exclusively with STAR Academies to seek a Finance Manager - Projects who will provide financial leadership for new Free Schools joining the Trust. This role will be located in their main office in Blackburn. For an ambitious and proactive individual, this opportunity offers a starting salary of £56, days holiday, public holidays, LG Pension (c16% employer contributions), and hybrid working.

    Responsibilities of Finance Manager - Projects:

    • Provide financial leadership for new Free Schools and schools joining the Trust.
    • Lead financial operations development and oversee financial matters for upcoming schools.
    • Ensure financial compliance, budget preparation, and financial system management.
    • Offer expertise in long-term financial management to meet the requirements of regulatory bodies.
    • Collaborate with senior executives to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Work closely with the central projects team to ensure financial compliance.
    • Promote best practices and adherence to financial procedures.

    Requirements for Finance Manager - Projects:

    • Hold ACA, ACCA, CIMA/CGMA, CIPFA, or equivalent qualification.
    • Prior experience in the Education or Not-for-Profit sector is essential.
    • Minimum 3 years of financial management experience.
    • Excellent communication skills and experience in managing large budgets.
    • Expertise in financial planning, VAT, PAYE regulations, and charity finance.
    • Ability to drive organizational change and mentor staff.

    Offer for Finance Manager - Projects:

    • Salary: £56,918 to £62,616.
    • 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
    • Local Government Pension (employer contributions c16%).
    • Hybrid working model in Blackburn office and remote.
