Finance Manager - Exciting Opportunity at an SME in Blackburn

Your new company is a small and medium-sized enterprise located in the vibrant area of Blackburn. As a result of their continuous expansion, they are seeking a Finance Manager to become a valuable member of the team on a full-time basis.

Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements, such as P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Take complete ownership of the end-to-end month-end process.
Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to enhance financial performance.
Produce insightful commentaries to accompany all reports.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely processing.
Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash effectively across various entities.
Perform multi-entity accounting and reporting, including group consolidations.
Lead a small team responsible for all transactions up to trial balance.
Establish and improve internal controls and procedures to protect financial assets.
Implement systems and automation to streamline processes, minimize errors, and expedite real-time reporting.
Engage in Business Partnering to collaborate with operational managers for financial insights and decision-making support.
Stay informed about industry trends and accounting regulations.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional finance and management accounting, preferably in a service-based industry.
Fully/partially qualified by ACA, CIMA, or ACCA with a good understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
Prior experience in team management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, adaptive, and versatile environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively.
