Description

About the Company: Our partner is a small to medium-sized enterprise located in Blackburn. They are experiencing growth and are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Your Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements, such as P&L, balance sheet, management reports, and cash flow statements.
Handle the end-to-end month-end process.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to enhance financial performance.
Provide insightful commentaries and explanations for the reports.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable for timely and accurate processing.
Ensure proper reconciliation of banks and effective cash management across various accounts.
Conduct multi-entity accounting and reporting, including group consolidations.
Lead a small team in handling all transactions up to trial balance, including some aspects of payroll.
Establish and improve internal controls, implementing procedures to protect financial assets.
Develop systems and automation to streamline processing, reduce errors, and enable real-time reporting.
Engage in business partnering by collaborating with operational managers and departments to offer financial insights, control costs, and support strategic decisions.
Keep updated on industry trends and relevant accounting regulations.

Requirements for Success:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional finance and management accounting, preferably in a service-oriented industry.
Fully or partially qualified with ACA, CIMA, or ACCA, having a grasp of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
Proficient in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
Experience in team management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Adaptable to fast-paced and versatile working environments.
Effective written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of cross-departmental collaboration.
