    Description

    Sunrise Children's Centre offers overnight short breaks for children in West Kent from the age of 5 to 18 years old, who have learning disabilities and/or Autism, and will have some additional support needs.

    These may include complex health needs, behaviours of concern, and help with every day tasks.

    We always support children to have fun with their friends and peers, to learn skills, make choices, and to be supported in a safe and nurturing environment, so that they, and their families, can have a break.

    Whilst creating a safe, nurturing, fun environment for children and young people of varying needs.

    You will be required to work a 4 week rolling rota shift pattern, which includes two weekends per month and sleep-in duties.

    Can lead a shift whilst leading by example to the team and children/young people.
    To have completed or be willing to undertake the Diploma level 4 in Children and Young People. Putting training and knowledge into practice
    Excellent time management with a non-bias approach when on shift
    To be willing to undertake training in medication management and keep competencies up to date. Ensuring the medication for children is given to the child in compliance with our standard operating procedures.

    To work with the team to ensure all children and young people are given the opportunity to gain new positive experiences and social experiences that are inclusive for all.

    To have awareness of the Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015 and put into practice.
    A detailed induction and training programme, with an ongoing plan for development
    ~29 days annual leave + bank holiday entitlement
    ~ Generous contributory pension scheme

    The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements
