- Solid understanding of basic book keeping and general accounting procedures.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
- 1-2 years accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Experience processing high volumes of transactions and invoices, ideally in multiple currencies.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of dealing with multi-site/departmental reporting.
- Experience of Month End procedures.
- Review and verify invoices and check requests.
- Sort, code and match invoices & set invoices up for payment.
- Enter and upload invoices into system.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare analysis of accounts.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors regarding possible inquiries.
- Produce monthly reports.
- Assist with month end closing.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Strong research, writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changeable working environment.
