    We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Azure to join our team and oversee the provisioning, management, and optimization of our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database provisioning and management, backup and disaster recovery planning, performance monitoring and optimization, security and access control, and database migration and upgrade activities on the Azure cloud platform.

    Responsibilities:

    Provision and manage databases on Azure cloud platform, including configuration, tuning, and optimization for performance, scalability, and reliability.

    Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of database systems and data in Azure.

    Monitor database performance and resource utilization, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and optimize query performance to meet business requirements.

    Implement security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    Plan and execute database migration and upgrade projects, including assessing compatibility, performing testing, and minimizing downtime and data loss.

    Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas, indexes, and queries optimized for performance and scalability.

    Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues and incidents, and participate in on-call rotation as needed.

    Stay up-to-date with Azure database technologies, features, and best practices, and recommend and implement process improvements and automation enhancements.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Azure certifications (e.g., DP-300, DP-900) preferred.

    Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with a focus on Azure cloud platform and database technologies.

    Strong proficiency in database provisioning and management using Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for MySQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or similar Azure database services.

    Experience in backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, or similar Azure services.

    Knowledge of database performance monitoring and optimization techniques, including query tuning, index optimization, and resource allocation.

    Familiarity with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and auditing.

    Experience with database migration and upgrade processes, including assessment, planning, and execution.

    Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.

    Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB or MongoDB.

    Knowledge of containerization technologies and container-based database solutions.

    Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
