About the Position

HCL Microsoft Business Applications Practice, an HCL Technologies Company is seeking a Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Architect to join our award-winning and growing team. This individual will collaborate with business analysts and other team members to determine the best design approach regarding the overall solution including system design, data integration and migration.

The Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Architect carries the ultimate responsibility for meeting the customer requirements and completing the project. The Dynamics 365 CRM Solution architect will be comfortable in all aspects of delivery. Capable of switching between leading customer facing functional workshops and a group of functional consultants and business analysts, managing development teams, either customer based or HCL's Microsoft Business Applications Practice centric onshore and off-shore teams, working with project and programme managers to effectively report on progress and risks and issues – to liaising with both internal and customer senior stakeholders – adjusting the approach and language as required for each interaction. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to act as a functional lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as functional capabilities. Leads functional workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions.
• Ability to act as an interface/integration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities. Leads integration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions.
• Ability to act as data migration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities. Leads data migration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions.
• Act as development lead and able to demonstrate a wide range of development skills. Be a strong advocate for adherence to standards and best practice. Understand the capabilities of the development team and schedule their work appropriately, providing support and assistance when needed.
• Work with customer and internal teams on infrastructure architecture where required.
• Provide required technical support to our customers during Dynamics 365 CRM implementations working with Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Architects on hybrid projects.
• Write and review high level and detailed architecture documentation.
• Create Solution, Functional and Technical Specifications documentation for the project.
• Design, develop, review and test customized code for Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Stay current on Dynamics 365 CRM and related technologies, particularly Azure stack technologies that support the solution.
• Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience to ensure that the team grows in experience and effectiveness.
• Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment.
• Excellent communicator with ability to operate within cross functional teams.
• Advise customers on best practices for CRM processes, user interface, and architecture.
• Work with the training team to deliver and create super users and end users training, as needed.
• Be comfortable participating and leading pre-sales engagements.
• Work effectively with the sales team on delivering tender response documents, estimates and customer demonstrations.

Ability to code and carry out Dynamics 365 development and programming related to:

• SQL Integration Services, including KingswaySoft and/or Scribe
• SQL Reporting Services
• Power BI
• SharePoint Services
• SDK and/or Developers Toolkit
• Programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript
• Azure technologies such as WebApps, Functions, LogicApps, Data Gateways and Service Bus
• Modern authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth and OpenID
• Active Directory, including Azure Active Directory, IIS, DNS

Required Skills and Experience:

• Solid Microsoft platform Software or IT experience and proven professional experience within a consultancy environment
• Proven experience as either a technical lead, technical architect, or solution architect with Dynamics 365
• At least 5 end-to-end full lifecycle implementations of Dynamics 365
• Expert knowledge of at least 4 of the following modules: Sales, Service, Social Engagement, USD, PSA, Field Service or Portals
• Knowledge and experience of Enterprise Application Integration and Architecture patterns
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN and ArchiMate desirable
• Exposure to Visual Studio Team Services or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools
• Able to manage or lead multiple large projects (6-24 months) with advanced organizational skills
• Up-to-date understanding of business processes, issues, and technology especially related to the operation of a sales and customer service departments within an organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Desired Skills

• 8+ years of experience as either a technical lead, technical architect or solution architect with Dynamics 365
• At least 5 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of Dynamics 365
