The opportunity:
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the UK Finance Risk and Controls Team as Risk Manager for Finance, responsible for the effective management of the risk and compliance frameworks across both the Life and General Insurance businesses for the UK Finance function.
We are looking for someone with knowledge/experience of the risk and control framework, with excellent interpersonal and time management skills alongside a questioning mindset, who will ensure the Finance function remain compliant with all risk and compliance frameworks.
Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours.

Responsible for effective risk management, including performing operational risk assessments, reporting of operational events and tracking these through to remediation.
Responsible for effective compliance management, including the management of the Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR), reporting of compliance breaches and action plan management.
Responsible for Business Continuity and Business Resilience for Finance, ensuring unforeseen events have minimal impact on Finance's operations and deliverables.
Production of papers and being the representative for UK Finance at internal risk and compliance committees
Present risk and compliance governance updates to the UK Finance Controls Group and to the Finance Exec Team.
Support UK CFO sign off for all executive risk and compliance attestations.
What are we looking for?
You will be directly liaising with senior management across UK Finance, in addition to liaising with stakeholders from other functions.
A probing and inquisitive mindset with the ability to question and challenge others whilst maintaining strong relationships.
High quality oral and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent report production and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple deliverables.
Experience in risk, compliance and controls would be highly desirable.
