    Description

    Job Description A leading international law firm is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior In-House Lawyer specialising in Regulation & Conduct to join their London-based team.

    The role of Senior In-House Lawyer – Regulation & Conduct offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing expert guidance on regulatory matters and fostering a culture of compliance excellence.

    Key Responsibilities for the Senior In-House Lawyer – Regulation & Conduct:

    Stay abreast of regulatory developments and changes affecting the legal landscape, providing timely advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.

    Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

    Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential regulatory and compliance risks, developing strategies to mitigate such risks effectively.

    Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong culture of compliance awareness throughout the organisation.

    Lead internal investigations into compliance-related issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate remedial actions and preventive measures.

    Represent the firm in regulatory matters, engaging with regulatory bodies and industry associations to advocate for policies and regulations that align with the firm's interests and values.

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, risk management, and business units, to ensure a coordinated approach to regulatory compliance and conduct matters.

    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the firm's regulatory compliance programs, leveraging best practices and industry benchmarks.

    Qualified solicitor with significant experience in regulatory and compliance law, preferably gained within a leading law firm

    Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice on regulatory and conduct-related matters, with a deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards particularly in relation to SRA requirements.
