    Associate - Trade Processing

    The Associate, Trade Processing is positioned in Operations department and reports to the Team Lead, Operations UK.

    ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. (AACB) is a leading global player in clearing and clearing related services. We provide professional clients access to financial markets around the globe. By working together we are responsible for processing approximately 15 million transactions per day meaning that AACB consistently ranks among the top three clearers in every time zone, based on turnover and market share. Given the rapidly changing world around us we are continuously looking at enhancing our processing and investing in innovative solutions to make sure that our clients' needs take centre stage.

    AACB's Operations in London specialise in the post-transaction management of both exchange traded and OTC derivative positions. Key processes include trade allocation and market reconciliations, cash and position reconciliations, regulatory reporting, corporate actions and invoicing. Additionally, Operations UK manages the physical and cash delivery of a wide range of derivative products including, commodities, currencies, debt instruments, and emissions.

    Derivatives Clearing Operations is comprised of four distinct groups.

    • Client Operations – manages trade related client queries and services

    • Trade Processing - services client positions and brokerage invoicing, releases regulatory reports, and manages derivative settlements and physical deliveries. Monitors real-time CCP reconciliations, and is responsible for trade allocation, break resolution, and give ups.

    • Control – performs post-trade date reconciliations of trades, positions, cash and fees.

    • Operational Change Support – serves as the central point of contact for the promotion, tracking, and user acceptance testing of software and market related changes, inclusive of new development, enhancements to existing software, and bug fixes.

    Core Activities

    • Management of client queries and communication for derivatives

    • Open interest maintenance on all European markets.

    • End to end management of the physical delivery process

    • Management and facilitation of the option expiry processes across all European markets

    • Responsible for ensuring all derivatives business is allocated and claimed

    • Responsible for ensuring reconciliation breaks have been actioned and cleared T+1

    ABN AMRO UK is part of the Corporate Banking business line and operates the following businesses in the UK:

    • Corporate and Institutional Banking which includes Corporate Banking, Clearing, Global Markets - Sales & Trading and Financial Institutions
    • Commercial Banking which includes Asset Based Finance and International Desk, which provides transactional banking services


    Our business lines are supported by a number of functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Finance (Including Tax), Business Management and Human Resources. We currently employ approx. 380 people in the UK.

    Your profile


    • 0-2 years' experience in a professional working environment

    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications

    • Bachelor degree, a plus

    • Exchange GUI and SEALs experience

    • Basic understanding of Derivatives including associated clearing processes & risks.
