Our Boys Academy Department has been awarded the prestigious Category One status accolade, demonstrating that we provide the highest level of quality coaching, education, training and facilities for our youth football provision.
The Academy Education Department is responsible for delivering the Education provision to the players aged 16-18 and on a Full-Time training programme as well as liaising with schools to monitor academic attainment for players aged 9-16.
To continue to deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging, and developing talent at this level, we have a new, exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and proactive individual to join our Education Department as Full Time Programme Education Manager.
This role will be responsible for supporting the management and delivery of the Education Programme ensuring players achieve aspirational education outcomes.
You will have a specific focus on the delivery of the Apprenticeship and Education provision for the Professional Development Phase (players aged 16-18 years old).
You will work alongside the Head of Education, Assistant Head of Education, and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), planning the delivery of the BTEC in Sporting Excellence Professional and the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship.
This role will require you to be flexible within your practice as you will be working within a fluid environment.
You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing outstanding lessons to improve the players understanding on topics to support their performance.
A key area of this is building relationships with key stakeholders for example you will be expected to liaise with the Premier League IV and with other External Verifiers.
You will be required to support the delivery of the BTEC Level 2 in Sport to a small cohort of players aged 14-16 that are on our Full Time Programme working in conjunction with the Academy's Education partner.
The successful candidate must hold a relevant teaching qualification such as QTS/QTLS/PGCE (or equivalent). You must have experience of working within a high performance or education environment and/or with young elite performers.Experience of working within a Premier League or EFL Academy as well teaching in the Further Education sector BTEC Sport is advantageous.
