    Title:Construction Tutor
    Location: Greater LondonAuthority
    Salary: 33,000 -36,000
    Job Type: Permanent,Full time

    Position Overview:

    We are currently recruitingfor an exciting opportunity with an established training providerwho are based in Sheffield.
    The successful candidatewill be experienced in Construction and will plan, prepare, andteach accredited courses, whilst coaching and developing learnersthrough a fast track to construction programme that will enhancetheir further education and/or careerprospects.

    All candidates must have access totheir own vehicle with business insurance. Travel across theGreater London Authority will be expected. Travel expenses paidfortnightly.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Toprepare and review session plans, schemes of work and teaching andlearning materials using initial assessments and marked work totake into account the learner's individualneeds
    • To deliver high-quality and innovativeteaching and learning sessions that engage with learners and meettheir individual learning needs.
    • Accurate andtimely completion of all relevant documentation and recordsrelating to learner's training, progress and achievementincluding;
      o Learner Reviews
      o AttendanceRecords
      o Action plans/feedback
      o Any othercontractual paperwork
    • Provide rigorousassessment and effective feedback to learners via robust marking oflearner's work and structured verbal and written feedback showingwhat the learners need to do toimprove.
    • Liaising with colleagues to offerlearners the best possible progression route for further education,apprenticeships and employment
    • Inspire,motivate and raise aspirations of your learners through enthusiasmand knowledge, which ensure good attendance and engages withlearners at all levels.
    • To ensure contractualtargets (retention, progression and achievement of all learners)and internal company targets are achieved and that awarding bodyrequirements are adhered at all times.
    • Provideon-going information, advice and guidance
    • Embedsafeguarding, British values, awareness of prevent, equality anddiversity and health and safety into the learner'sprogramme
    • Provide support and guidance tolearners as well as providing more specific support for additionallearning needs and additional socialneeds
    • Support and maintain the qualityassurance process for assessment, training and verificationpurposes, in line with the organisations policies and all relatedAwarding Body procedures andguidelines
    • Committed to continuous improvement- personal and organisational
    • Increase theportfolio of the company by assisting in the marketing of all areasof the business
    • Promote equal opportunities andrecognition of diversity throughout thecompany
    • Adhere to the organisations andprocedures at all times
    • May occasionally berequired to work out of normal hours
    • Carry outany additional duties as reasonably requested by linemanagement

    About you:

    • Proven constructionindustry background with occupational competency andqualifications
    • Hold a recognised teachingqualification DTTLS/Cert Ed or equivalent
    • GCSEGrade C English and Maths or FS Level 2
    • Theability to plan and deliver innovative and motivational sessionswith a clear focus on the needs of the individuallearner
    • Experience of roll on roll offdelivery
    • An understanding of different learningstyles and how to differentiate through various teachingmethods.
    • Ability to motivate self and learners,prioritise workloads and use initiative.
    • Somesupervisory experience is desirable
    • 1 yearsteaching experience required
    • 1 year tutoringexperience (desirable)
    • Certificated of HigherEducation (preferred)
