    Description

    Building Construction Manager

    Salary Range: £200-£250 per day (negotiable depending on experience)
    Location: Cardiff
    Contract type: Full time, permanent – PAYE or self-employed
    Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Project Manager to join our client's renovations team in Cardiff, to take the lead role in driving projects to successful completion. They are committed to delivering high-quality projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

    You will take responsibility for overseeing and managing renovation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

    Responsibilities:

    ·Project Planning and Co-ordination – interpret plans, plot timelines and monitor budgets. Co-ordinate trade professionals and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

    ·Team Management – lead and supervise all project team members including contractors. Assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure all key milestones are met.

    ·Quality Assurance – ensuring all work meets or exceeds industry standards and expectations. Conducting regular inspections and quality control checks.

    ·Compliance and Safety – ensuring all building activity complies with regulations and safety standards. Promoting a culture of safety on site.

    ·Budget Management – monitoring the budget, tracking expenses and implementing cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.

    ·Risk Management – identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the project. Developing contingency plans to address unexpected challenges.

    ·Communication – maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout. Providing regular updates, escalating any concerns and addressing problems proactively.

    ·Documentation and Reporting – maintaining accurate documentation for record trail.


    Skills and Experience:

    ·This role would suit a qualified and time-served trade professional with similar experience in a previous role

    ·A solid understanding of building and construction processes, materials and safety regulations is essential

    ·Previous project Management experience is essential. A professional Project Management qualification would be beneficial

    ·Proven track record of delivering successful projects

    ·Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

    ·Solutions driven, adaptable to change

    ·Full UK driving license and ability to travel in and around the Cardiff area.
