Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Sustainability Officer. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of sustainability across GIB.Leading a team of dedicated sustainability professionals and working with internal and external stakeholders, the role-holder will champion and drive GIB's sustainability agenda.
Directly client-facing and in support of the relevant business and product teams, the role-holder will work to scale and mobilise finance for sustainable development, whether that be through financing activities, investment banking or sustainable investment strategies.
GIB holds itself to high standards, so the role holder will be responsible for the stewardship of sustainability frameworks and governance as well as leading projects to enhance corporate sustainability.
A trusted advisor and thought-leader, the role-holder will be expected to contribute to the development and adoption of sustainability at a sector and regional level.
Evidence of commitment to significant professional development through other relevant qualifications and certifications.Passion for tackling the world's sustainability challenges and mobilising finance for good.
Experience in corporate sustainability strategies and initiatives, ideally in the context of regulated financial services.
Strategic planning and delivery, especially being able to articulate a vision, mobilise stakeholders around that and deliver enduring business change.
