    Description
    We're partnered with one of the largest and most well respected London Market Syndicates, recruiting for a Solution Architect.

    As Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the design and governance of solution delivery for Insurance (London Market) and Reinsurance business functions.

    You will provide technical and architecture leadership and full range of advisory and delivery services across multiple projects.


    Please note:

    You need Lloyd's of London Insurance experience to be eligible for this role, otherwise your application will not be considered    Responsibilities: Work closely with stakeholders including software engineering teams, operations, product teams and business stakeholders to define a technical strategyCollaborate on architecture and design in the Cloud, SaaS and Desktop spaceClear understanding of Lloyds Insurance System, London Market knowledge, Re-insurance, Policy Underwriting and Claims ProcessEBOT, ECOT, ECF, TRAX, Xchanging systems knowledgeReview existing applications and ensure coherent and secure interoperabilityRecommend and present suitable, high-performance solutions targeting AzureDefine and document system architecturesConduct PoC's using the latest technologies and present the findings to technical and non-technical audiencesLiaise with development teams to ensure the smooth delivery of solutionsEnsure security and data integrity is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions

    Role Requirements:

    Expertise in application and solution design using Azure cloud and Microsoft technologiesSound experience as a software engineer, using .NET C#Experience developing high-performance, scalable, data-driven, and extensible solutionsExperience with Infrastructure as CodeExperience with Security best practicesExperience with Microsoft Power PlatformAbility to evolve existing solutions towards next-generation technologies and architecturesOverseeing technical implementations undertaken by multiple scrum teams, still hands-on and close to the code as requiredAbility to carry out quick POCs on the latest technology and to present the findings to different audiencesGood understanding of strategic IT planning and Enterprise Architecture methodologies/frameworks is desired.

    Preferably Microsoft Azure CertifiedOverall 15+ years of IT experience of which 10+ years of experience ideally in Solution Architecture or Systems/Technical architecture rolesExperience with IAM, Authentication / AuthorisationDegree-educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent industry experienceInsurance and/or financial services sector experience is desirable
