/ HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Experience Design Director at Momentum, you are a visionary leader in your discipline, responsible for driving the agency's impact and creativity forward in this area of expertise.

Building on your extensive experience and proven track record in delivering awe-inspiring creative for our clients, you will take our agency's experience design capabilities to new heights through providing direction and key oversight to your team while aiding the development of show-stopping design thinking. You are confident in leading team individually or in partnership with the creative leads, to knit the conceptual ideas through to design, creative technology and production, while building brand worlds for our clients. You will push the creative boundaries, but with an air of logical thinking are able to integrate innovative new methods of design thinking to execute across a variety of different platforms.

Your in-depth understanding of consumer-centric design principle, emerging design trends and technology will be instrumental in creating and directing cutting-edge creative design, that will engage and inspire audiences. You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship and guidance to the wider team, ultimately elevating the agency's creative output.

You will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of your team and discipline, be a champion of its success and consider long-term growth opportunities for our clients. Plus, your expertise and leadership qualities will be evident in all that you play a part in.

/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead & Inspire:

Proactively and creatively, you will work alongside the CLT to lead the team and foster a strong culture of collaboration and innovation, taking Experience Design at Momentum to new heights. You strive to be a recognisable face of Momentum who peers look to for expertise and advise and a key player among the many talented individuals who work here.

Showcase your experience:

Pitches and high-profile projects are the times when you roll your sleeves up and show what you're made of, through getting hands on and co-ordinating the team to produce the very best results. Both conceptually and technically, you will be a worthy champion of the discipline. You understand consumer behaviours and how to maximise the potential of a physical space, just as you understand the software and packages that visualise how amazing it could be. With confidence in this unique skillset, direct your designers and 3D designers to ensure their work lives up to the creative vision.

Push the Creative Boundaries:

You will see the inspiration and creativity in everything you experience, by getting out into the world and experiencing it through the eyes of design. Make it your mission to be an avid follower of global creativity, using this knowledge to offer new angles and directions to inspire and push the team to think creatively to new heights.

Project Management and Leadership:

You will show how great creative and project management can work together seamlessly, blending boundless enthusiasm for great work with a mature calmness under pressure. Take teams forward by collaborating with project leads to organise design teams, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and effectively scope projects to suit the desired output and budget.

Mentor and Manage:

As Experience Design Director, you will manage a team of creatives, who will look to you for guidance – both in a craft and career. Consider their career trajectory to be as important as your own. Your responsibilities will include guidance, mentorship and nurturing their professional growth, alongside looking after their wellbeing and work-life balance to create a strong and happy team. Bring any issues or opportunities this presents to the attention of the creative leadership team or talent.

Presentation Skills & Storytelling:

As a strong presenter, you can articulate design thinking and storytelling with enthusiasm and expertise in any situation. You are comfortable stepping in to support the wider team in creative presentations when called upon. Plus, you have the ability to craft compelling and beautiful presentations which showcase the work and the story behind it, to the best of its ability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

You will foster a collaborative working style throughout the creative process, ensuring XD, conceptual and creative technology are considered at the relevant stages of each project. This will ensure a cohesive and seamless integration of creative ideas when implementing across various platforms.
