Description
A vacancy has arisen within the Estates & Property Services department for a Contract and Compliance Manager to be part of a successful multi-disciplinary team that delivers capital projects as well as a planned and reactive maintenance service for NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
The Contract and Compliance Manger will head up a small team, which in addition to preparing; issuing and assessing tenders will have a fire safety, security and statutory compliance function.
The successful applicant will have a qualification in a building/construction related discipline along with having demonstrable experience in contracts, procurement and project activity management. The successful applicant will require good communication and management skills and have the ability to work to deadlines in an ever-demanding environment. They will need to have the ability to work well unsupervised and be able to work effectively as part of a team, while fostering positive and co-operative relationships with all other groups and departments, internal and external to the organisation.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
