    Description
    The UHDB Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) service has a vacancy for a lead clinical nurse specialist.


    The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership for the established IBD teams at our Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton sites and provide support to deliver excellence for patient care.

    The post holder will inspire a culture of compassionate care for IBD patients. S/he will be accountable for the professional practice and development of IBD nursing and patient care. Demonstrable experience as IBD nurse specialist Band 7.

    Non- medical prescribing qualification.

    NMC registration

    Degree level training or relevant experience.
    Promote high standards of care for patients with IBD.
    Implement practice and service development in line with the Nursing and Midwifery strategy.

    An average of 1115 patients are seen in A& Es across our network every day - 3rd largest in the country.

    Last year we undertook almost 33,700 planned surgical operations in our 57 operating theatres.

    UHDB is a research active University Hospital with a large and varied portfolio of clinical trials and research opportunities for all staff.
