    Automation Engineer (SCADA/EC&I) - Johannesburg, South Africa - 3-6 months+For a large client in the Data Centre industry we are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer (SCADA/EC&I) for a 3 month+ contract in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    The role will required you to travel to South Africa every week for the initial 3 months (all travel expenses covered and enhanced rate if located in Europe for initial period) and then you will be able to work remotely thereafter with occasional travel.

    The RoleYou will support program management for automation related workstreamsSupport and enable coordination for several projects from design through to go liveCoordinate with teams across different time zonesHelp agree milestones for completion of various systems (MEP, IT, Construction), schedule testing phases for development and remediation projectsOversight on schedules and commissioning scripts for each general contractor, and OFCI supplier leading up to a coordinated program for testing of main OFCI equipment (L1 to L5).Identify long lead items, and see to their inclusion in the Master Project Schedule in coordination with Project Controls, Construction and Operations including all updatesAssist to coordinate integration support schedules, allowing for sufficient time to program, test, and commission mission-critical control systemsEnsure all Controls related design documents are tracked on Procore by the System IntegratorSupport process improvement and cost optimisation initiatives for BMS/Controls related activities during commissioningBe responsible for all project reporting and documentation related to the control and automation of equipment for each siteYour SkillsStrong project management experience and qualificationsData centre experience preferredExperience in mission critical/highly regulated environments is preferredUnderstanding of automated reporting and visualisation of data through Power BISCADA platform experience, Ignition preferredIf interested please apply with your latest CV and best number to reach you on.
