    We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Structural Foreign Exchange Risk Manager.


    In this role, you will:

    • Review and maintain the Group Structural FX policy and supporting frameworks to ensure they are developed in consultation with Group Treasury and Regional Treasury Risk teams and are within the defined corporate standards approved by the Board and ALCO.
    • Review and challenge the Group Structural FX hedging strategy and associated FX limits and other risk metrics proposed by the business to support risk steward (Second Line Of Defence) sign-off.
    • Engage with key subsidiaries to understand how regional SFX movements impact the Group position, review and challenge Group and subsidiary hedging strategies to ensure trade-offs as measured through risk and performance metrices.
    • Review of capital ratio sensitivity, SFX exposures and RWA associated with SFX risk on current and forecasted basis.
    • Review the Group's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment (ICAAP) for SFX risk.
    • Participate in capital and SFX related governance meetings, ensure effective and timely second line risk feedback is shared, minuted and actioned.
    • Keep up to date on regulations relating to SFX management including but not limited to Bank of England/ PRA, HKMA and any other relevant regulators.
    Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:


    • Practical experience of capital and/or SFX risk management within either Head Office/Group, subsidiary level or as part of Global Treasury, or its equivalent at a global banking institution.
    • Strong Understanding of hedge accounting, FX accounting, FX products and SFX RWA calculations.
    • Strong knowledge and experience of assessing, measuring and monitoring balance sheets, income statements, regulatory capital composition and risk weighted assets (RWA).
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of capital risk drivers under business as usual and stressful conditions, including credit risk, market risk and operational risk.
    • Experience of working across all levels of an organisation to understand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies, as well as the implications of risk at both a strategic level and at the business unit level.
    • Has developed a high level of professionalism and competency which helps to determine solutions around appropriate risk measures, risk processes, risk monitoring and management.
    The base location for this role is London / Hybrid.
