- Lead a team of Financial Accountants, Finance Assistants, and Trainees
- Implement council's strategy on service improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop savings proposals and review capital projects
- Analyze services to support year-end position and final accounts
- Coordinate between business and Government departments for statutory matters
- Provide financial and commercial analysis to support decision making
- Manage financial modeling of new services
- Support Budget Managers during budget preparation and monitoring
- Proven success in a finance role with significant budgets
- Experience in Welfare and Benefits
- Maintaining positive partnerships within a complex business
- Analysing and advising on finance and policy issues
- Professional qualifications such as CCAB / CIMA
- Understanding of financial planning
