We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly collaborative Senior Nurse to take up the post of Deputy Chief Nurse for the Children's and Community Services Division.
We are looking for an inspiring and high performing Senior Nurse who is committed to improving our patients experience, clinical outcomes and safety, and can work effectively in a triumvirate structure with operational and medical leaders. The successful candidate will have a passion and vision for developing services, supporting staff and driving change. The role will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality nursing care, workforce planning and the development of career pathways within the Children's and Community Services including: Starlight Ward Children's Community Nursing Looked After Children's Nursing School-based Health Service Enhanced Health Visiting Service Adult Community Nursing Sexual Health Services Main duties of the job The division encompasses acute paediatrics, childrens' community services and adult community services. You will be expected to help drive change, empower and motivate all levels of nurses to provide excellent patient care and experience across our wide range of services. We are looking for an individual who is resilient and ambitious with a wealth of experience. You must be innovative, energetic and compassionate with a can do attitude with proven leadership skills. Job description Job responsibilities The post holder forms part of the triumvirate working with the Associate Medical Director and Divisional Operations Director setting the strategic focus whilst supporting teams to successfully deliver the operational portfolio. Their primary focus will be to ensure improvements in patient outcomes, patient safety, patient experience, and effectiveness of care. Through strong leadership and change management skills they will develop, implement, and evaluate innovative models of care delivery that meet the needs of service users, the Integrated Care System and regulators. The Deputy Chief Nurse will work with the Chief Nurse to deliver high quality and responsive nursing services. The role will lead on the operational elements of the nursing service as well as maintaining high standards of nursing care.
