    Job summary

    We are delighted that you are interested in applying for therole of Chief Operating Officer at One Care.

    Inclose collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), general practice andour system partners in health and social care, you will implement the long-termstrategy for the development of One Care.

    You will have a particular focus on the development ofintegrated care in BNSSG, and on building the resilience of One Care, whilstalways conscious that the success of general practice is our core aim.

    OneCare (BNSSG) CIC is a GP Federation that represents practices in Bristol, NorthSomerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). We have 76 shareholding practiceswho care for more than one million patients. Our vision is to enable generalpractice to both survive and thrive.

    InSeptember 2020, One Care established a GP Collaborative Board (GPCB) toaccelerate and amplify the representation of general practice in the widerhealth and social care system. The GP Collaborative Board enables generalpractice to engage effectively with the developing Integrated Care System andto support development of strong place-based Integrated Care Partnerships. TheGPCB brings together all general practice leaders so we can function as anequal beside other providers and the commissioner.

    Thisrole will be based at One Care's office in South Bristol on Hawkfield BusinessPark. One Care has a hybrid working approach where our employees can work fromhome for up to three days per week, with the other two days in the office orvisiting practices. There is free parking on site at Hawkfield Business Park.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    Oversee day-to-day operations, implementinginnovative solutions that enhance the integration of patient care, increasepractice engagement, and improve financial security of the organisation

    Identify key programmes of work, alliances, andother strategic opportunities which align with the organisational strategy

    Quantify the risks and benefits of implementingdevelopments, joint ventures and other strategic opportunities working acrosssystems

    Seek out diverse income streams for theorganisation, to improve financial resilience

    Support the CEO in ensuring the Board and othercommittees are representative and made up of appropriately skilled andknowledgeable members this will include identifying, recommending andnurturing potential Board members, Board recruitment and induction, developmentactivities and training

    Ensure that all of the organisations activitiesare connected and work well together to deliver One Cares strategy anddemonstrate its values

    Act as organisational lead on statutory,regulatory and other compliance matters

    Work with colleagues to continuously improve thequality and delivery of support services to practices and shareholders

    Work with the CEO, the ELT, the Board andGeneral Practice Collaborative Board to ensure that working relationshipsbetween staff and One Cares member practices are always effective andprofessional

    Work with ELT to improve the recording ofdelivery against KPIs and ensure clear and timely presentation of Board reportsand other business results

    Work flexibly with the GPCB Medical Director toalign functions and ensure effective representation of general practice atsystem-level discussions.

    Act as the organisations Caldicott Guardian to provide leadership and informed guidance on complex matters involvingconfidentiality and information sharing
