    Description

    Assistant Vice President - Accounting at a Leading Financial Institution

    The Financial Management department plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities of the Bank. They handle various functions such as accounting, financial reporting, budget management, and taxation. We are currently seeking an Assistant Vice President - Accounting to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting practices and providing technical support for financial operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure accurate application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
    • Offer technical accounting support
    • Prepare financial statement disclosures
    • Collaborate with external auditors
    • Support Head Office reporting
    • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    Requirements

    • Background in Finance or Accounting
    • Certified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
    • Experience in Financial Services
    • Familiarity with Banking operations
    • Proficiency in IFRS accounting
    • Skills in process improvement and business transformation
    • Knowledge of financial products
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Advanced Excel proficiency
    • Strong communication abilities
