    What is the opportunity?

    The RBC Wealth Management International Technology Solutions team is looking for an experienced applications analyst who is passionate about addressing business needs, issues using technology solutions. This opportunity will offer an opportunity for an experienced applications analyst to play a key role in a complex technology environment within one of the biggest wealth management companies in the UK. Our applications are used by RBC staff and clients making your contributions highly impactful and visible, directly contributing to the success of RBC.

    What will you do?

    • Analysis and technical design of solutions implemented across multiple existing applications catering to resolution of key business problems or opportunities.
    • Assess, research, and analyse business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor need.
    • Identify risks and advise mitigation approaches.
    • Advise application teams, tech leads of org IT policies and guidelines.
    • Partners across different global technology and business teams to deliver solutions for wealth business.
    • Work with PMs and Architects to determine size, complexity of changes, projects.
    • Work in an Agile team environment which is fast paced, fun and collaborative.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high value and make a large impact to client facing services.
    • Stay current and competitive by keeping up-to-date with the latest platform capabilities, security, performance, and reusability.

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must-Have

    • Proven experience of applications or system analysis
    • Experience in vendor product integration
    • Experience in creating IT Risk profiles, supporting IT Audits
    • Experience in implementing solutions and control for logical access, data security, information management, cryptography,
    • Be a collaborative, team player, who values giving and receiving constructive feedback and who has strong interpersonal skills

    Nice-to-Have

    • Knowledge of Application Security design and testing
    • Knowledge of application architecture, IT Risk, System Design
    • Knowledge of networking, including HTTP, RESTful APIs, multithreading, Cloud, Containers, Change Management, Asset Management
    • Knowledge working with DevOps pipelines, such as Jenkins
    • Experience working in an Agile Team environment
