Here at Capita Entrust we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional to join our Governance Services team as an Operations Manager.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of schools governance or experience as a school governor as this will enable you to better support the team of governors working for you, we are also looking for someone with a proactive approach to work and the desire to motivate and guide a team.

You would be responsible for the day to day line management of a team of governors as well as day to day interaction with the relevant support services (administrative teams and clerks to governors) You would also take part in recruitment activities for this team working with the internal talent Acquisition team to bring in new members of staff as and when needed.

In return you would work with a supportive and knowledgeable team, have scope to learn and develop within the role and play a critical role in the delivery to governance services into schools in the Staffordshire area.

Operations Manager - Governor Services Job Description:

To support the delivery of a traded Governor Support Service to schools, academies, local authorities and Multi Academy Trusts through maintaining and improving the efficiency of operational systems.

Leadership and line management of the clerking team, ensuring the team works effectively to meet all KPIs, supporting Team leads to ensure line management duties are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.

To ensure governor service compliance with Entrust/Capita processes and policies, including mandatory training.
Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with the appropriate contracts, SLAs and KPIs

Clerk recruitment, to ensure that appropriate number and quality of candidates are sourced, recruited and onboarded to allow for the efficient delivery of the service.

To manage the operational processes of governor services to ensure they are effective, efficient and provide value for money.

Identification of areas for improvement and development and implementations of associated plans to secure efficiency and profitability.
Service Quality Assurance, to ensure that systems are in place to monitor and assess the quality of service. Providing regular reports to inform the Head of Service and identifying any concerns. Contributing to the development and managing the implementation of plans to further improve service quality.
