    Job summary

    We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our multidisciplinary Team within the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

    Why?

    We have recently completed a service redesign/re-structure to enable our focus to shift towards health promotion/wellbeing and the prevention of ill-health. This has seen significant investment by the Trust to support new ways of working and as such we are in the process of creating several new opportunities and roles.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join and support us through this transition period and beyond allowing us to put staff health and wellbeing exactly where it belongs, at the heart of everything we do.

    We have secured a new operational service based at Winwick, Warrington and satellite units in the Netherton / Knowsley areas of Liverpool to support delivery of the service across the Trust footprint. We will also support opportunities for remote working in line with operational demands.

    Who do we want?

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Wellbeing Facilitator to joinour team. The post holder will be responsible for the training and delivery of a range of health and wellbeing intervention within our Wellbeing Strategic Plan that will improve the health of NHS colleagues.

    Main duties of the job

    The role of Wellbeing Facilitator has been developed specifically to provide support to our colleagues to improve their physical wellbeing and their mental resilience. The post holder will act as a wellbeingchampion and an ambassador of wellbeing across our entire Wellbeing Facilitator will work as part of a team to support people to improve their health by coaching and training individuals and groups to lead a healthy lifestyle. The post holder will use behaviour changetechniques with individuals and groups across the workforce to empower them to identify, make and sustain positive lifestyle changes to improve health and wellbeing

    Job responsibilities

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Essential

  • Qualified Health Trainer and/or equivalent health improvement experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Literacy & Numeracy
  • A recognised qualification in fitness instruction / physical psychological health training qualification (Diploma or Foundation degree)
