The role is 2 days in the office in Weybridge and 3 days at home (must live a reasonable commute from the office which is close to the train station)
The successful Buying Manager will lead a small team of buyers to deliver tenders and projects that deliver the commercial KPI's for the business.
The Buying Manager will lead negotiations and the strategic plan to deliver maximum value for the business whilst delivering on sustainability objectivesAs Buying Manager you will keep aware of supplier, market and competitor trends and activity to develop a strategic plan that will deliver long term growth
Leading, coaching and developing the team you will lead multiple projects that deliver continuous improvement to drive best in class ways of working and procurement excellence.
In the role the Buying Manager will manage the impact of inflation and will closely monitor prices of commodity products identifying and mitigating.
The Buying Manager will work with category and account management teams to deliver the category strategy and targeted sales and profit.
You will currently be working within food or non-food buyer either within food retail or wholesale, foodservice or contract catering or blue chip FMCG within the UKAs the Buying Manager you will have managed at least 1 team member
Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
As Buying Manager you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action opportunities to drive profitYou will have excellent planning and organization skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, a self-starter with can-do attitude.
You will also be a team player and will be able to lead and be a contributor to projects and work streamsSalary up to GBP68, excellent bonus and benefits
Role is split between the office in Weybridge (2 days and is close to train station) and home (3 days)
