    Job title - Claims Advocate

    Department - Energy & Power

    What can you expect?

    • Technically focused Claims Advocate driving Energy & Power (Conventional and Renewables) initiatives and handling complex claims.
    • Knowledge of the Energy & Power industry and insurance market is a key requirement for this hire
    • The role involves some travel and you will be working closely with clients and other claims, placing and engineering colleagues throughout the organization.
    • The role demands hands-on active claim management, problem solving, formulating settlement strategies for clients and negotiation skills. Providing leadership and taking ownership of complex claims is essential to project manage them to a successful conclusion.
    • You will also be assisting and supporting the Broking teams in retaining and the acquisition of new clients by participating in client pitches and Requests For Proposal meetings.
    • You will also liaise and work closely to develop best practice with other claims teams in each region.
    • In addition the role requires a commercial acumen to sell claims and also demonstrate an understanding of how to mitigate Marsh risk by closing claims optimally.

    We will rely on you to:

    • Strong focus on clients and providing value-add services
    • Develop value proposition strategies and ensure delivery of client service standards always comes first
    • Initiate and promote the innovation of claim offerings to meet clients developing needs
    • Development and implement revenue generation initiatives
    • Provide technical assistance to the claims product leaders and colleagues
    • Raise the profile of claims internally through delivering training, technical publications etc.
    • Foster close relationships between Claims Advocacy, Claims Solutions and claims operations to optimise client experience

    What you need to have:

    • Knowledge of the Energy & Power industry and insurance market is a key requirement for this hire
    • Detailed knowledge of market claim procedures
    • Work with claims colleagues to coordinate the research on major loss incidents in the region, and liaison with internal Stakeholders to track and socialize opportunities
    • Research benchmarking data to help promote Claims Solutions initiatives
    • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to develop claim strategies
    • Understanding of risk and mitigation strategies
    • Presentation and communication skills
    • Coordinate marketing initiatives
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
