    Description

    Opportunity to Join as Senior Finance Manager (Interim) at a Prestigious Charity in London

    Our client is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to take charge of the month-end procedures and budgeting and forecasting activities at a well-known Charity based in London. The primary focus of this role will involve consolidating management accounts and budgets at the group level. The ideal candidate will possess experience working in a UK non-profit environment, with a preference for familiarity with Unit4 or Agresso.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Empowering budget holders with the necessary financial management information for effective decision-making
    • Ensuring timely completion of month-end submissions and providing budget holders with essential financial data
    • Managing the quarterly reforecast process and consolidating forecasts from budget holders
    • Preparing and submitting all tax and regulatory returns to relevant authorities
    • Efficiently managing the organization's treasury, monitoring cash balances, and developing accurate cash flow forecasts
    • Collaborating with the UK Finance team on month-end activities and enhancing monthly income reconciliation processes
    • Driving system improvements to streamline accounting cycles, budgeting, and forecasting activities
    • Providing ad-hoc technical accounting support and guidance to finance teams within the Charity

    Requirements:

    • Proficient in financial management with knowledge of accounting standards and UK charity regulations
    • Experience in VAT and Corporation Tax return filing
    • Capability in overseeing finance teams, systems, and processes
    • Skilled in establishing robust financial systems, controls, and accountability measures across organizations
    • Expertise in strategic and annual business planning, monitoring, and reporting on key business objectives
    • Detailed understanding of the legal and accounting landscape for UK charities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated high energy levels and personal resilience
    • Results-driven with strong problems-solving abilities and a knack for timely decision-making
    • Preferably experienced in the international charity sector
    • Ideally, previous exposure to Unit4 or Agresso in prior roles
    • CCAB qualified or equivalent accountancy qualification
