    Title: Head of Vessel Reporting

    Location: London, hybrid options offered

    Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + bonus and benefits

    The company:

    Our client, a multinational shipping group headquartered in London, is seeking a technically adept Accountant with experience across the shipping/maritime sector, to join their growing finance team in London.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee financial transactions and reporting for shipping operations (time charter / voyage charter).
    • Demonstrate expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS) for accurate financial statements.
    • Prepare management report and shareholder pack within deadlines
    • Active participation in the external annual audits of the various entities within the group and their consolidation to ensure compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.
    • Manage cash-flow processes, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
    • Experience in bunker accounting, tracking fuel consumption and related financial aspects.
    • Develop and maintain budgets to support effective financial planning and control.

    Role Requirements

    • The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with at least 3 years experience in an accounting function
    • +2 / 3 years experience in accounting for a Shipping/Maritime Transportation group
    • External audit experience is highly desirable for this role
    • In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) – IFRS 9, 16
    • Experience in budgeting and financial planning for shipping operations.
    • Ability to work on own initiative or as a part of a team
    • Ability to meet deadlines
