Main duties of the job
To plan, manage and develop the clinical pharmacy services across the Trust in order to promote the safe, timely and cost-effective use of medicines
To set, implement and evaluate standards for clinical pharmacy practice Trust wide in accordance with departmental clinical strategy, using appropriate performance indicators and demonstrating a patient-focused approach.
To support with the day-to-day management of the Pharmacy Department in the absence of the Deputy Chief Pharmacist
To work closely with the lead ePMA pharmacist and other project leads in related digital programme projects in Pharmacy and Trust wide
To support the Trust and ICBs Medicines Management agenda and promote the Medicines Optimisation Strategy
To manage the relevant section leaders within pharmacy.
To monitor drug expenditure for specific area, and to be the budget holder for day-to-day pharmacy service needs.
To deputise for the Chief Pharmacist as and when necessary
