- Create CAD models and manufacturing drawings for drivetrain components, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
- Generate product realisation reports detailing the necessary tooling, materials, and processes for project quoting purposes.
- Work closely with Sales and Development teams to ensure customer design needs are met effectively.
- Store and manage design documents and files using Product Data Management (PDM) software.
- Utilise MRP manufacturing software to create accurate bills of material (BOM).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD modelling software.
- Strong understanding of machining methods and their limitations to design components for efficient manufacture.
- Working knowledge of automotive drivelines and their component operations. (Experience in finite element analysis and conducting basic strength checks. (Understanding of the basics of gear design and manufacturing.
- Competitive salary up to £45k, dependent on experience.
