    Student Services & Events Coordinator
    Student Services Senior Officer
    26,375 – £29,357 per annum (depending on experience)
    Cambridge (office-based role) with some UK travel

    Permanent, full time (37.Cambridge Muslim College was established in 2009 to develop and disseminate Muslim thought leadership through world-class education, training and research based on dialogue between the Islamic tradition and the circumstances of the modern world.

    It currently offers a full time BA in Islamic Studies validated by the Open University, a Diploma in Contextual Islamic Studies and Leadership and an online Diploma in Islamic Psychology.

    It also organises and delivers a wide range of Continuing Education programmes for the general public.

    The Student Services and Events Coordinator will play a central role in supporting the Student Services department in promoting the College, BA and Diploma programmes to different audiences including schools and Further Education institutions, through coordinating the admissions process from application to final outcome.

    The post holder will work closely with the Registry staff in the first-round processing of applications for programmes and support with events in the college throughout the academic year.

    This role will also involve working with the Communications and Development team in organising the roll-out of admissions process to relevant organisations and social media platforms.

    They will also work with the Student Services Senior Officer and Facilities team to manage the accommodation services for the college.

    The successful candidate will have experience of working in an administrative role preferably within education. The candidate must have administration and IT skills and be comfortable using online systems. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and a good knowledge of social media platforms.

    They will be confident in communicating to different audiences and be willing to assist their line manager or other colleagues travel around the UK to promote the College's programmes.

    They will also be expected to work flexibly to support other College activities, which may include working some weekends and evenings to facilitate events.

    Assist in the production of promotional materials for all academic programmes, including the prospectus, website information and video content.

    Assist in the execution of Open days, both in-person and online.

    Accompany visits to institutions around the UK to make presentations on the College's programmes, including schools, colleges, madrasas and Darul Uloom's.

    Assist with group visits from other institutes to build relationships and promote college programmes and development.

    Act as secretary to the Admissions committee to manage the process of making offers and awarding scholarships, liaising with the Development team.

    Connect successful applicants with Finance and Facilities departments to arrange student finance and accommodation.
    Work with the Student Services Officer to prepare an induction week itinerary for students.
    Support the Facilities Manager in the administration of college accommodation.
    Support College events as agreed by Student Services Senior Officer and the event convenors.
    Serve as needed at events outside of regular working hours.

    Assist the Student Services Senior Officer in arranging other college-related events throughout the year, in particular graduation ceremonies and field trips.

    Support the College's Quality Assurance activities by maintaining a thorough
    knowledge of the College's policies and processes.
    Any others reasonable tasks requested by the Student Services Senior Officer or the Chief Executive.

    Good basic education to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent.
    Experience of working in an administrative or similar role, preferably in an education institution.
    Using online systems, social media platforms and developing processes
    Assist with planning and execution of student recruitment events in consultation with their line manager and other colleagues.
    Have an Innovative and creative approach to work.
    Ability to contribute to use social media platforms.
    Commitment to own continuing professional development.
    Work flexibly with occasional out of office hours and weekend work.
    Willingness to travel around the UK.
