- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for employees across various aviation departments including the auditing of training paperwork and files
- Manage a team of trainers and administrators including delegating tasks effectively within the team in addition to supporting and advising senior leadership on all directed training requirements
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles alongside the planning and central resourcing departments
- Ensure all colleagues are compliant with enhanced background checks required for their airside passes when working within the airport environment
- Oversee resourcing strategies to optimise workforce allocation and maintain appropriate staffing levels working closely with internal colleagues and external partners
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in training and development, integrating relevant advancements into training programs
- Fully understand and comply with all current and future company rules, regulations, procedures, processes and polices, while promptly reporting any breaches
- Maintenance of, and compliance with, the written Civil Aviation Authority / Department for Transport training standards while overseeing and implementing all relevant security training legislation and changes
- Collaborate with departmental managers to identify training needs and create tailored solutions to address them effectively, continuously improving training to maximise impact
- Proven experience in training and development, preferably in the logistics or aviation industry
- Competent administration skills and computer literacy are required for the role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues, customers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated management experience and leadership capabilities, with the ability to drive initiatives and inspire others to excel
- Proficiency in learning management systems and other training-related technologies
