- Processing purchase invoices and resolving supplier queries
- Raising, managing, and chasing invoices
- Owning the credit control function
- Preparing payment runs
- Creating month-end journals for accountants
- Assisting with cash flow reporting
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Handling supplier reconciliations
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting accountants with month-end and year-end tasks
- Aiding other teams with administrative tasks related to accounts and payroll
- Be pursuing AAT / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent qualifications (preferred)
- Have prior experience in comprehensive bookkeeping
- Possess strong expertise in Excel
- Have previous experience as the sole accountant in a start-up or small business (highly preferred)
- Be familiar with Xero software (a plus, not mandatory)
- Demonstrate a proactive approach, problem-solving abilities, and self-motivation
- Display excellent time management and organizational skills
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competitive salary range: £35,000 - £45,000
