    Description

    Mimecast is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Security Engineer to join their high-performance Security Team.

    • If you are a skilled Security Engineer with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and continuous improvement, we are excited to hear from you.
    • You will take part in building and deploying a unique SIEM solution with Elastic that will provide the Mimecast Security Team with top-notch tooling to support the SOC and its clients.
    • The objective is to enhance security monitoring, detections, and incident response capabilities using diverse security platform solutions to create a robust security environment and offer advanced solutions to boost our security posture.
    • In collaboration with other Security teams, you will work closely with the wider Engineering and Cloud Platform teams to enhance existing security monitoring and deliver resilient security solutions.

    Key requirements:

    • Experience in log ingestion, building pipelines, log enrichment, and log parsing.
    • Proficiency in high-level log analytics including firewall logs, network logs, authentication logs, system logs, and debug logs.
    • Skilled in UNIX/Linux OS, and shell scripting in Bash/zsh.
    • Ability to write and understand complex regular expressions (PCRE) and scripts in languages like Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.
    • Hands-on experience managing container platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, GKE, etc.
    • Experience with cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure and AWS.

    If you're into real-world Information Security and have a passion for IT security, this is the perfect fit for you. You must have experience implementing observability and monitoring tools for application and infrastructure metrics, logs, and traces. Specialization in one or more Information Security domains is a plus.

    Desired qualifications:

    • Industry certifications in Information Security and/or Information Technology (CISSP, CISM, CEH, Azure and AWS equivalent).
    • An undergraduate or higher degree in computing with a strong security focus.
