    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the North Central London CAMHS Home Treatment Team (NCL HTT)We are looking for a highly skilled and committed Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join the NCL CAMHS Home Treatment Team. This post will be based at Holly Oak Unit, Edgware HA8 0AD and St Ann's Hospital, St Ann's Rd, London N15 3TH delivering specialist home treatment service for children and adolescents years) across the NCL's five boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden and Islington.

    Main duties of the job
    • To provide generic mental health and specialist systemic therapy assessments of a significant and complex nature with a view of formulating and implementing plans for the treatment and management of a child and adolescent's mental health problems within the context of family and other systems. These assessments will be based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and will employ research based evidence and also information from appropriate rating scales, self-report measure, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care and service user feedback.

Job description Job responsibilities NCL CAMHS Home Treatment Team is an innovative project pioneering delivery of highly intensive multidisciplinary community care to young people within the NCL area. Significant objective of this team is to shorten the length of inpatient admissions providing best outcomes for young people in a least disruptive way. This post is an exciting opportunity not only to utilise a range of clinical skills while working with young people and complex systems, but also to be actively involved in supervision and overall team development. Person Specification EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential
    • Professional qualification in a mental health or social welfare discipline or agreed Association of Family Therapy (AFT) equivalent.
    • An AFT recognised four year training leading to a qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy/Family Therapy.
    • United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registration (Systemic)
    Desirable
    • Post-qualification training in one or more additional specialised areas of therapeutic practice
    • Specialist training in supervision that has led to 'approved' clinical supervisor status
    EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Essential
    • Minimum four years practice in relevant first profession.
    • Assessed experience of working as a qualified systemic family psychotherapist for a minimum of three years
    • Experience of specialist systemic assessment, formulation and intervention with individuals and families
    Desirable
    • Experience of working with people (children and families) of all ages.
    • Experience of teaching, training & /or supervision
    • Experience of the application of systemic psychotherapy in different cultural contexts
    SKILLS AND ABILITIES Essential
    • Advanced skills in using a wide variety of systemic theories and interventions and the ability to use these appropriately in relation to client need and work setting.
    • Advanced skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management, frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
    • Advanced skills in professional supervision skills for offering live supervision of multidisciplinary colleague
    Desirable
    • Advanced skills in professional supervision to meet UKCP requirements
    • Advanced Skills for offering live supervision to multi-disciplinary colleagues
