Senior Automation Developer - London, United Kingdom - Aldermore Bank PLC

    Default job background
    Description

Let us tell you a bit about us

We're Aldermore – the award-winning bank, trusted and highly rated by over a quarter of a million customers for more than a decade. With our range of specialist mortgages, savings accounts and business finance solutions, we're backing more people to go for it.

We thrive by saying "yes" to our customers. We respect the ingenuity of entrepreneurs and their startups; we give first-timers a leg-up onto the property ladder; we open up the lending market to many; and thousands of customers chose MotoNovo Finance every week to buy their next car, van or motorbike.

This is where you come in. We are on a journey. A journey defined by a destination; to deliver on our purpose.

Let us tell a bit about the opportunity

As a Senior Automation Developer, you will play a key role in our transformation within Customer Experience and across the business, supporting the automation developers to create value and efficiency through automation. As a part of the Automation Centre of Excellence, as Senior Automation Developer you will be accountable for overseeing the design and delivery of automated processes, working to ensure we develop automations to the business successfully and safely, whilst adhering to relevant governance frameworks.

The Senior Automation Developer role is key for driving successful delivery of our automation program, enabling us to achieve our ambition to grow our customer base whilst maintaining costs. The role is fast paced and will continue to ensure our team can continue to deliver automations at pace, supporting the growth of our internal development team, alongside peers delivering discovery and run automation activities. The Senior Automation Developer will be pivotal in driving the evolution of our automation capability and continuing to deliver an excellent experience for our customers and colleagues.

What will your day look like?

    • Lead a team of Developers to drive the successful implementation of change and transformation through automation capabilities.
    • Defining and implementing UiPath standards and best practices (Orchestrator components; folder structure, processes, packages, triggers, queues, assets)
    • Undertake code reviews of all UiPath processes and libraries created to ensure that we are adhering to agreed governance standards
    • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments
    • Work with application owners for new systems being automated to identify networking requirements and the best mechanism for integrating with business applications
    • Work with Enterprise Architecture to design new components of the UiPath platform
    • Quality oversight on all other deliverables (Build Trackers, Test Plans, PDD/SDDs)
    • Deliver automation safely, ensuring all our required risk and business control requirements are met
    • Ensure all solutions that are developed are maintainable and reliable, whilst being future-proofed and ensuring maximum reusability within processes
    • Be the first point of contact for technical questions, issues and decisions within the CoE
    • Continuous training and mentoring of internal developers, ensuring agile ways of working, throughout implementation cycles and ensuring continuous learning in improvement, whilst driving own development
    • Creation of guides, documentation and other deliverables to upskill others and provide knowledge transfer to ensure long term sustainability and avoid single points of failure
    • Where required, design and build RPA bots aimed at streamlining repetitive tasks and processes, enhancing productivity and resource utilization

What do we expect from you?

    • Experience in designing and delivering automation (attended and unattended) through UiPath or similar technologies.
    • Advanced UiPath developer accreditation
    • Experience of multiple development techniques, including Computer Vision and APIs
    • Experience of intelligent automation capabilities such as OCR, communication mining, low-code decisioning, digital ID&V
    • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and present to others
    • A dynamic, enthusiastic, and energetic style of working
    • A track record in the delivery of multiple process automations with effective prioritisation
    • Strong collaboration skills – ability to mediate, encouraging a "let's think differently" approach.
    • A self-starter. The ability to be self-driven, where necessary, in order to deliver effective outcomes
    • Willingness to travel across our sites within the UK
