    Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position:

    Operational & Financial Efficiency Leader, Marsh Technology

    We will rely on you to:

    Strategy:

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to devise, mobilize, and align with Global MMC Human Capital Planning strategies, providing the financial aspects needed to create a more dynamic, fungible Marsh Tech workforce.
    • Be an active member of the Marsh Tech leadership team, providing input to define, mobilize, and execute the mid- and long-term strategy. Work with MMC CFOs and regional Marsh CFOs to effectively communicate all financial aspects and impacts of a modern IT strategy to the overall Marsh organization.

    Planning:

    • Serve as the primary liaison between the MMC Tech CFO and Marsh regional CFOs, leading the Marsh Tech annual operating plan/budgeting process and developing appropriate internal reporting focusing on critical risks and opportunities.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages that provide focused analysis of actual versus plan results, including identification of key variances and causes.
    • Review expense forecasts and trends with senior Marsh Tech budget stakeholders, identify issues and opportunities, and swiftly implement corrective actions, including training, to ensure identified issues do not recur.
    • Identify Budget Target Assurance Programs that can be implemented to offset any significant downsides to the Plan.
    • Working with the regional Marsh CEOs and CFOs to review budget and actuals and define key performance indicators to measure overall IT operational performance.
    • Monitor certain fund balances at various institutions and ensure controls are in place and compliance standards are met.
    • Manage and develop staff by providing guidance, training, and motivation
    • Partner with the Operations and Finance teams (project and FP&A) to drive understanding of Planview Cash, CapEx, and OpEx spend.
    • Define, mobilize, and continuously improve the annual (18-month) planning process in collaboration with Global Marsh teams (not limited to Business, Operations, Infrastructure, Finance, and OoCIO), ensuring the process is scalable.
    • Define, guide, facilitate, monitor, and improve the monthly and quarterly actuals processes and monitor progress against the current strategic plan, ensuring delivery is aligned with strategic goals.
    • Key partner to Global Marsh teams to ensure Marsh business cases are financially viable, providing appropriate recommendations and ensuring materialization of benefits tracking.

    Controls:

    • Defines, iteratively adapts, and scales the intake process to ensure Marsh technology achieves its financial and resource utilization targets.
    • Communicates key decisions, driven by the Marsh Tech CIO, to the wider teams, and ensures timely follow ups.
    • Defines processes for other forms of required investment / spend for Marsh Tech, including (and not limited to) PO's, Contingent workers, Software.

    What you need to have:

    • Deep understanding of finance and accounting principles, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
    • Experience in financial cash planning and the ability to partner with finance teams to drive understanding of cash spend.
    • Ability to build partnerships and develop collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders.
    • Extensive Financial Planning and Analysis management experience; Excellent Excel and report writing skills.
    • Experience with recurring report production and variance analysis as well as ad-hoc analysis as needed to address evolving changes within the business.
    • People management experience – you will be managing and mentoring a team of 5 to 10 financial analysts.

    What makes you stand out:

    • Undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Finance/Accounting, Management.
    • Certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
    • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders in functions and teams across the business.
    • Financial services industry experience such as Banking, Insurance, or Brokerage is highly desirable.
    • Provide reporting support to MMC Tech CFO, Regional CFOs, and Marsh Tech CIO
    • Perform financial analysis to interpret trends, variances from plan/forecast.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to senior-level audiences in simple, logical business terms.
    • Ability to build and manage strong relationships effectively within a matrix, global organizations.
    • Strong people leadership and project management skills.
