    Description

    We are seeking to recruit a forward thinking and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join Therapies Team on Devon Ward, Male PICU at Chase Farm Hospital.

    The successful candidate will be involved in shaping and monitoring the quality of service provision against set standards.

    As a key member of the MDT the successful applicant will hold a designated caseload and be able to work independently providing OT assessments, addressing occupational performance, enabling the client in areas of self-care, productivity and leisure, and will:

    Be motivated, energetic and a flexible team player with excellent communication skills
    Demonstrate an interest and participation in evidence -based practice and professional development and working with recovery principles.

    Ably led by our Trust Wide Allied Health Professionals Lead and strong senior AHP leaders, our recently reviewed AHP Strategy reflects our forward thinking, creative and diverse AHP community.

    To be part of the Inpatient Therapy Team who provide evidenced-based occupational therapy provision to Devon ward.

    • To be an active member of the multidisciplinary team on the ward and be involved in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. The post will involve delivery of the OT provision to a designated caseload, focusing on recovery and developing skills for life.
    • This will include planning and running a range of therapeutic groups and individual sessions, carrying out functional assessments and contributing to multidisciplinary team care planning, formulation and risk assessment.
    • You will work closely with the MDT to provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention as part of the acute clinical pathway. BEH is a multiple awardwinning, combined mental health andcommunity Trust providing local, regional and national healthcare services.

    HCPC registered OT Dip/BSc/MSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy

    Experience of acute inpatient and/or community areas, working with people going through a mental health crisis
    Supervision of junior staff

    Undertaken QI project

    Able to complete PMVA training
