Description
Job Description Digital Project Managers will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of CMS digital initiatives.They will facilitate collaboration, manage risk, and drive projects from inception to completion, contributing to CMS's digital transformation and overall success.
This will be an essential role in fostering collaboration between Digital, Operations IT and the wider business.As well as coordinating team members from across the business, other key deliverables will include managing resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will come with a strong background in Digital Project Management and have a track record of successfully delivering complex digital projects.
Role Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Define digital project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Team Coordination:
Delegate tasks and ensure clear communication among team members.
Resource Management:
Allocate and manage project resources effectively, including budget, time, tools/software and 3rd party suppliers required for the project.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address any issues that arise during the project to minimize disruptions.
Stakeholder
Communication:
Maintain open communication with stakeholders, clients, and team members. Provide regular project updates and reports on progress, milestones, and challenges.
Scope Management:
Monitor project scope to prevent scope creep. Address changes in requirements and assess their impact on the project timeline and budget.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that deliverables meet the required quality standards. Conduct testing and quality checks to identify and resolve any issues.
Documentation:
Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
Skills & Personal Attributes:
Project Management:
Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Digital Expertise:
Familiarity with digital technologies, platforms, and tools re such as web development, digital transformation, digital marketing, etc.
Functional end to end experience across eCommerce, Commercial, Supply Chain and Customer Service, with a solid understanding of B2B and B2C processes together with the financial relationships relating to each function
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Time and
Resource Management:
Proficiency in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
Problem Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during the project.
Adaptability:
Enthusiastic and flexible with a pragmatic, hands-on approach, with the ability to understand the bigger picture. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
Negotiation and Conflict Resolution:
Skill in handling conflicts, negotiating priorities, and finding solutions that benefit the project and stakeholders.
Technical Understanding:
Depending on the projects, understanding of relevant technical concepts, programming languages, and tools might be required.
Client-Focused:
Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering value to clients
Ability to work autonomously and to plan and organise own and peer workloads and work within challenging deadlines
