    Description

    Venn Group is working with a renowned broadcasting corporation to recruit for a Finance Manager on a 3 months interim contract.

    The successful postholder will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and control of financial systems and processes.
    Key responsibilities of the role:
    Manage relations and outputs of Finance staff, establishing effective ways of working and a robust controls framework over expenditure and reporting
    Ensure that financial activities are managed in accordance with the business strategy ensuring value for money
    Provide financial advice, support, and input on a range of issues and to various stakeholders
    Challenge actual or potential variations to budgets
    Ensure all the month end/year end close journals are posted timely and accurately
    Provide timely and accurate analysis and interpretation of the business area results, using monthly reporting packs to support the business to deliver the results
    Take ownership of all balance sheet reconciliations, review all balance sheet accounts and working with various business areas
    Provide support and direction to ensure transactions are understood and correctly recorded with monthly reconciliations, and that the balance sheet is in line with IFRS, and where applicable local GAAP
    Support and act as a key point of information during the annual audit process to deliver the required information for sign off of results


    Ideal candidate profile:
    Professional Accounting Qualification- ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent
    Significant experience of managing in a finance function within a complex matrix organisation
    Experience of working with and the analysis and interpretation of financial information including P&L, BS and cash flow
    Strong technical accounting skill and significant experience of the application of governance and control principles
    Hands on experience in SAP(S4), BPC and SAC
    Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence
    Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (including pivot tables)
