I have experience of doing so, over the phone, face to face and via email.  I strive to work well under pressure and love to keep myself, and my workflow organised. I am able to work independently without supervision taking responsibility for my tasks and duties and also able to adapt to different situations without it affecting my performance for example I am able to prioritise workload that need urgent attention I would complete this first, or if anything came up urgently I am able to handle that and then resume with my other duties. Working as an administrator at Islington medical centre I have experience of being able to do this as I was constantly juggling between duties to meet tight deadlines.

 

I think giving good customer service is very rewarding, important and I like to ensure that I listen to my customer’s needs and requirements as well as being able to fulfil my duties. I take an enthusiastic approach, combined with a friendly, genuine dedication to customer satisfaction. Through my career history I am fully aware of office procedures and understand procedures are put in place to govern a workplace. 

 

Throughout my employment and educational history I have a working knowledge of Office software’s including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. I have used these software’s to type up essays, reports, letters and correspondence. 

 

As a Newham Resident I took part in virtual workshops with OurNewham Work. During these sessions I came in contact with vulnerable adults, people from different ethnic background. When I was taking part in given my answers I had to be clear, precise and slow in responding. This meant that I had to change my approach of communication to accommodate everyone. I fully understand we are all equal and may at times need to adapt our approach in dealing with different people. I am fully committed to abide by the equality and diversity act. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

I have IT skills, when completing my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (Human Resources). All of my work has been done on the computer, whether it was software such as Excel, PowerPoint or Word. My attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and particular research skills have also been improved after years of using computer software. Moreover, I have also used my IT skills at my workplace with regards to data entry. I ensure that the information is accurate and correct and would proofread just to make sure that I am entering my client’s details into the system correctly.

 

I would remain calm and professional as I must ensure that I adequately represent the company at all times whether it is by phone or face to face. I would calmly listen to the client and then would do my very best to assist him/her in a timely fashion. Should I be unable to solve his/her issues, I would immediately get in touch with my superior, or a more experienced colleague should my supervisor be unavailable. When I was working at Peabody Housing, we have been fully booked throughout the week and a client wanted to register. He was desperate and said he needed to be booked that week. After I spoke to my manager, we tried to see if we could rearrange his booking with another colleague. The other colleague agreed and overall everything went smooth after that. 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

I can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. My work experience has enabled me to interact in a courteous and friendly approach whether in person or over the telephone. I have efficiently dealt with telephone calls, correspondence and requests for information, enquiries and complaints about the service from customers, managers and colleagues, partners and stakeholders and responded promptly and appropriately, within agreed timescales.

 

My interpersonal skills are great as I worked at the front of house as an administrative / receptionist and deal with clients on a regular basis. However, on occasion, have times when I am not as clear as I would like to be. My supervisor and co-workers will attest to my clear and concise communication skills because I am open leader, my team will let me know if I need to clarify anything.

 

Whilst working at John Lewis, I was a buddy to another colleague, who had learning difficulty. My role as a colleague was to demonstrate how to do the job and ensure that they have grasped the task. With continuous demonstration and giving out simple instructions I was able to support the colleague. My colleague has developed confidence, was able to pick of the pace as well as do the job independently.  

 

Whilst studying at University I put in extra effort and dedication in completing projects and looking ahead to the next task. Successfully completing one project and moving onto the next one is very exciting for me. I am passionate about my work and truly enjoy working towards the next big goal. For example after completing a team project ahead of our deadline, I immediately continued with my individual project. I can use my own initiative to help complete tasks in an efficient way. 

 

Whilst I was working for John Lewis, I was able to quickly learn and use the till system and their internal database for online learning. This was very important as they needed me to be fully trained and knowledgeable within a short space of time. It gives me full confidence in knowing that I could adapt to a new environment and learn new systems quickly.  

 

Whilst working for Peabody, I was able to create simple data reports of customers coming into the office building and creating a footfall spreadsheet that allowed my manager to see how many people are visiting the office and for what purpose by the end of the week. 

 

PERSONAL STYLE AND BEHAVIOUR:

 

Whilst working at front desk for Peabody, I was first point of contact. This required me to be smart, professional and polite. I had to accommodate customer needs and ensure they are being catered for and are receiving an excellent service. Customer service is vital to me and so I demonstrate this through my behaviour and communication towards them. 

 

I would prioritise the task my distinguishing importance to what is urgent. I would create a group chat and spreadsheet with each task and estimate the time it would take to complete them. I would have no problem delegating assignments to my team should I need to do so. I consider myself to be a flexible individual with a proactive approach to any issues. To accommodate business needs I am flexible and can work outside of normal working hours.
