    Here at the BBC we are passionate about raising awareness of the environment and making positive changes to our planet on screen as well as off screen.

    We have set a goal to be carbon free by 2030 and we are absolutely on track to achieve this, but we need a little bit of help from the right people We've recently appointed a new Director of Sustainability and we are now building the best sustainability team in our blue planet to work towards our goals and create a truly sustainable workplace underpinned with science led targets.

    The role would be working within the BBC Central Sustainability Team across BBC Group.

    We are a team of technical experts delivering the Net Zero program and achievement of our Scope 1, 2 and 3 Science Based Targets.

    The Scope 3 Supply Chain lead will be responsible for developing a comprehensive and systematic approach for achieving our Scope 3 Science Based Target of 30% absolute contraction by 2030.Given that 85% of our Scope 3 emissions sit in our supply chain, the role will have a focus on supplier emissions and supplier engagement to achieve the reductions required.

    Knowledge of and qualification in an environmental sustainability discipline.
    Able to demonstrate thorough understanding of environmental sustainability in the context of procurement and supply chain management.

    Capability to influence at a senior level and engage the commitment of key players to proposed courses of action.

    Ability to manage and review data in spreadsheets, strong numeracy skills.
    Significant experience with a leading brand/consultancy
    Team player, self-starting, motivated and passionate about driving change
