    About the position:

    The role of Sustainable Innovation Manager, Future Horizons, is a significant subject matter expert role contributing strategically to the development of our Technology Platform Roadmaps and taking full accountability for the subsequent H3 development program in terms of governance, prioritization, project management, and delivery.

    The primary objective of the platform TPR is to translate clear thought leadership and vision into impactful innovations through the expected and accelerated development of new-to-Haleon, new-to-category/industry packaging components.

    The Sustainable Innovation Manager, Future Horizons, promotes strong collaboration between R&D Packaging and the Packaging procurement team to collectively execute the program.

    Displaying the ability to influence and steer initial client and stakeholder engagement within the BUs, managing a seamless partnership with the broader R&D organization, Innovation, Design, IP, Sustainability, QSC.
    Role Responsibilities:
    • TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM ROADMAPS: Define and operationalize strategic packaging TPRs across key platforms (Bottles, Tubes, and Blisters).
    • 2030 GOALS: Lead the company-level definition, upstream development, and de-risking of 'big bet' H3 innovation for the designated platform(s) to contribute to the 2030 sustainable packaging objectives.
    • ECOSYSTEM: Deliver through an external development ecosystem to maximize supplier leverage.
    • INDUSTRY CONSORTIA: Deliver through and influence industry-leading consortia.
    • GOVERNANCE: Manage 'Lead investor' relationships internally with the BUs to integrate work products into the BU pipeline.
    • FIT FOR PURPOSE CAPABILITY PLANNING: Contribute to Supplier Relationship Management and optimize capability planning for H3 priority projects: internal vs. external, physical vs. digital, micro lab to pilot scale-up.
    • EXTERNAL VISIBILITY: Enhance the presence and impact of Haleon R&D Packaging & thought leadership among our peers for the designated platform(s).
    Why you?

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science degree.
    • 7+ years of experience in FMCG Packaging Development (Consumer or Healthcare preferred) with end-to-end development exposure.
    • A proven track record in project and/or program management and delivery of innovation.
    • Experience in complex upstream developments (Technical, Design, Innovation) and their facilitators (Joint development ecosystems, Strategic Alliances).
    • Capable of operating autonomously with a high degree of independent judgment and execution, foreseeing, interpreting, and resolving intricate organizational opportunities.
    • Supporting the development of functional strategies for the Technology Platforms and driving strategy implementation through direct accountability for developing building blocks.
    • Directly accountable for the development of building blocks and associated risk management, communicating with internal business clients.
    • Guiding others in resolving complex issues in specialized areas based on existing or new solutions.
    • Influencing others beyond scope and level.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • MSc, MSEng, or PhD.
    • Experience in managing technology or innovation roadmaps preferred.
