    Job Description Are you an aspiring Accountant looking to join a company where you can flourish in a supportive and developmental role?

    We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team in our European Shared Service Centre (EFSSC). In this role you will work in the Banking and Intercompany team who are responsible for managing the banks, cashflows and intercompany relationships with other Sage entities. Working collaboratively, you will help deliver accurate and insightful data to help support key decision making and strategy development. The Assistant Accountant role will help you gain exposure to different areas of finance, making it a great platform to grow your career with a global company. #LI-CR2

    Key Responsibilities

    • Keeping your banks up to date ensuring accurate postings and keeping reconciling items low.

    • Ensuring your cashflows are up to date and forecasts submitted to Treasury weekly.

    • Managing the funding of your bank accounts to ensure intercompany, tax, payroll and supplier payments are paid on time.

    • Managing intercompany balances with counterparties keeping mismatches low and balances paid within 30 days

    • Processing intercompany invoices into and out of the EFSSC.

    • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure internal controls are operated and maintained.

    • Coordination with internal teams and external consultants and helping to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with agreed timetables.

    • Help provide all supporting documents for Internal and External Audit, and other documentation required for audit and compliance purposes.

    • Involved in finance led initiatives such as European Banking Project and M&A activity.

    • Help maintain strong relationships with the Treasury Team, P2P, O2C, Tax and other Sage entities.
