    Ref: 37237The Role:
    Our client is looking for a candidate to join their Treasury Finance team and help shape policies and controls in a changing business environment. As a Treasury Accountant, you will support a range of teams as well as performing key tasks including controls and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding or have worked in a Treasury Finance or Product Control team and be a Qualified Accountant.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing essential accounting tasks to accurately portray the financial status, encompassing assets, liabilities, and financial performance.
  • Conducting reconciliation procedures for the designated business entity, guaranteeing alignment with internal policies and risk management objectives.
  • Establishing comprehensive audit trails for all financial operations, bolstering the control framework surrounding reconciliation processes.
  • Promptly identifying and communicating potential areas of concern to higher management.
  • Assisting Front Office on handling transactional and strategy booking.
  • Collaborating with System Development teams within the wider function to implement system changes, enhancements, and establish protocols for new business endeavours.Qualifications and Skills:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
  • Understand treasury and wholesale products and services, including cash and funding instruments, derivatives, and bonds.
  • Able to grasp key drivers of wholesale markets profit & loss and balance sheet movements.
  • Previous experience in or auditing a Treasury Finance/Product Control function or Market Risk function in the Financial Services or Banking industry.
