    Commercial Finance Analyst

    Salary:
    £31,339 - £35,892 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
    Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

    An opportunity in the Commercial Finance & Performance Team to provide financial support services to the Enterprise business of SSE plc.

    Our objective is to ensure obligations under commercial contracts and project proposals and/or agreements are met by all parties.

    liaising with and giving financial advice to the Project Delivery team; calculating, setting, monitoring and reporting on project budgets; A key responsibility is to set up and manage a varied set of projects.

    You will need to utilise contract documentation and proposals to understand the nature of specific projects and cash flows and ensure accurate input of data to the appropriate project management and financial systems.

    You must also ensure the management approval process is followed in accordance with business policy.

    In recognising that Safety is our number one priority, and that "We do things safely, or not at all", the Commercial Finance Analyst will be expected to engage actively in Safety, Health and Environmental performance.

    To be considered for this role, you will be a detail-oriented individual with good organisational and communication skills and a curiosity and capacity to understand commercial project issues.

    Competent with Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word / Excel / PowerPoint), Office 365 and SharePoint. Experience of Microsoft Power BI would be an advantage but not essential.

    • Basic finance knowledge including budgets, forecasts, costs and revenue analysis.
    • Familiar with Oracle Harmony or similar financial system.
    • Commercially aware, ideally with a good understanding of the utilities industry and of project management systems and / or project lifecycle processes
